Vegas 2007 Slam Dunk Contest
It's been many years since we truly had a legit slam dunk contest. I don't think I've seen a worthy competition since McGrady and Carter went at it in 2000. This year didn't seem any different with the likes of no names such as Green, Howard, and Robinson, however, I was impressed with some of this new talent. Green threw down some crazy dunks which in the end earned him the victor, but there was fresh creativity that was brought on by Dwight Howard.
There is still work that needs to be done, however. Until we bring back the superstar status that made the dunk competition so glamorous and appealing for those such as Jordan, Kobe, Carter, and McGrady, I will not be satisfied.
